Mrs. Andrea Hamner, Principal
Mrs. Andrea Hamner attended the University of Alabama earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education. She received her master’s degree in education administration from Grand Canyon University. She currently lives in Northport, Alabama with her husband and four children. She is passionate for meeting the individual needs of students.
Mrs. Hamner began her professional career as teacher in January of 1996. Since that time, she has served as an elementary teacher, reading coach, assistant principal, coordinator of guidance and testing, and principal. She began principal of Huntington Place Elementary in June of 2012. Mrs. Hamner is a member of several professional organizations, including Council of Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS), Alabama Education Association (AEA), and National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).
